KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) A winter weather parking ban has been declared in Keene.
The city’s public works director announced that on-street parking will not be permitted from 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, until 7 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, to allow for snow removal operations.
During the ban, residents may park overnight in the Commercial Street and Wells parking lots, which will remain open to the public Friday night.
City officials encourage residents to review parking ban rules and winter parking options at KeeneNH.gov/snow and to sign up for text message alerts to receive future parking ban notifications.
When a ban is in effect, the city shares updates through email and text alerts, social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram, the city’s snow information webpage and digital signs at key locations.
Public parking lots are available for overnight use during parking bans, though availability rotates to allow crews to clear snow. Motorists are urged to read posted signs carefully to avoid parking in restricted spaces, which could result in fines or towing.
