SWANZEY, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) The Monadnock Regional School District has announced a series of administrative changes for the 2025–26 school year, including  leadership moves at both the middle-high school and elementary levels.

The announcements were made in a press release from the district earlier this week.

At Monadnock Regional Middle High School, current Cutler Elementary School Principal Brett Gottheimer will take over as principal. Gottheimer, who has a background in both teaching and school administration at the middle and high school levels, is known for his emphasis on relationship-building and academic progress.

His move to the middle-high school sets off another shift: Paul Goodhind will step in as Interim Principal at Cutler Elementary. Goodhind is a veteran educator with prior experience as an elementary principal and most recently has served as assistant principal at Monadnock Regional Middle High School.

“These changes reflect what makes Monadnock such a special place,” said Rathbun in the release. “We pride ourselves on having talented, caring educators who are deeply committed to our students and schools.”

Stephanie Betit-Hancock has been appointed as the new director of student services. She comes to Monadnock from the Windham Central Supervisory Union in Vermont, where she worked extensively in special education and inclusive learning practices. Betit-Hancock will replace Catherine Woods, who is retiring at the end of the school year.

Superintendent Jeremy Rathbun praised Betit-Hancock’s appointment, noting her focus on student support and collaboration. “Stephanie… brings a unique strength to [her] new role,” he said.

The leadership changes will officially take effect with the start of the 2025–26 school year.
