KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Traffic congestion is expected in parts of Keene next week as Keene State College welcomes students back to campus for the fall semester.

First-year students are scheduled to move into residence halls Wednesday, Aug. 20, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. The college’s Department of Campus Safety is warning drivers to anticipate delays along Winchester Street—from the Main, Marlboro, and Winchester streets roundabout west to Winchester Court—and on Main Street from the Route 101 intersection north to Wyman Way.

Returning students will move in Sunday, Aug. 24, ahead of the first day of classes on Monday, Aug. 25. Both move-in days are expected to bring heavy traffic and limited parking in the surrounding neighborhoods.

College officials are urging motorists to plan ahead and use alternate routes if possible.
