RINDGE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) The Cathedral of the Pines will get some extra care this week thanks to a team of Eversource employees lending their time and skills to a nationwide day of service.

On Wednesday, arborists and tree-trimming contractors with the utility’s vegetation management program will join volunteers across the country for Saluting Branches, an annual effort that combines professional tree care with a tribute to veterans.

The New Hampshire crew will be clearing brush, trimming trees, and improving landscaping at the veterans’ memorial site in Rindge, part of the organization’s 11th year of service events.

“It’s a chance to do what we do best while also honoring those who served,” said Ian Farley, who manages Eversource’s vegetation program. “For us, it’s about giving families and visitors a safe, beautiful place to reflect.”

Founded by arborists, Saluting Branches has grown into a coast-to-coast event where tree experts donate their time at cemeteries and memorials dedicated to veterans. This year, dozens of locations nationwide are expected to host volunteers.

The Rindge event begins at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Pines, 10 Hale Hill Road.
