GREENFIELD, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) The community will gather Monday evening, Oct. 20, at Oak Park in Greenfield for a candlelight prayer vigil honoring the lives of three young men who were killed in a crash in Francestown last week.
The vigil, organized by the Rev. Dan Osgood of Greenfield Covenant Church, will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the park at 971 Forest Road. The event is open to all and will include prayers, candle lighting, and moments of reflection to support the victims’ families and friends. Candles and lighters will be provided, and attendees are welcome to bring flowers or other tokens of remembrance.
“With heavy hearts, we invite the community to come together to honor the lives of these three young men who left us far too soon,” Rev. Osgood said in a statement announcing the vigil. “Your presence will mean so much as we celebrate their lives and find strength in one another.”
The vigil follows the tragic crash that claimed the lives of Aiden Brissette, 19, of Bennington, and Seth Fowler, 19, and Luis Torres, 18, both of Antrim. All three were recent graduates of ConVal High School.
According to New Hampshire State Police, troopers were called to Route 47 (Bennington Road) in Francestown around 11:10 p.m. on Oct. 7. They found a 2013 Ford Focus that had gone off the road, struck a telephone pole, and overturned. All three occupants were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was closed for about five hours while emergency crews and investigators worked through the night to clear debris, repair downed wires, and document the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
State Police said anyone with information should contact Trooper Kevin Gazlay at (603) 223-4381 or by email at Kevin.J.Gazlay@dos.nh.gov.
The Oct. 20 vigil aims to bring comfort and unity to a grieving community still reeling from the loss.
