HINSDALE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Two masked men armed with a gun robbed a convenience store in Hinsdale late Sunday night before fleeing into Vermont in a rented truck, according to local police.
The incident occurred at the T-Bird Mini Mart on Brattleboro Road around 10:40 p.m. March 15. Authorities say the suspects entered the store and carried out an armed robbery before leaving with an unspecified quantity of merchandise.
Police reported that employees inside the store were not seriously harmed, though one worker suffered minor injuries during the encounter.
Investigators said the suspects left the scene in a U-Haul box truck and headed south toward Vermont. The vehicle was last reported traveling along Interstate 91 in the Brattleboro area. During the getaway, some of the stolen goods — including cigarettes — reportedly fell from the vehicle along the route.
The Hinsdale Police Department is continuing to investigate and is asking anyone who may have information about the robbery to contact the department.
Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department and the New Hampshire State Police assisted Hinsdale police at the scene.
Authorities said there is currently no indication of an ongoing threat to the public. Additional details have not been released as the investigation continues.
