KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) A well-known downtown retailer in Keene is celebrating a major milestone this weekend, combining a customer appreciation sale with a charitable initiative aimed at supporting the local community.
Ted’s Shoe & Sport will mark its 26th year in business this Saturday, March 28, with its annual “HOKA Day,” a signature sales event centered around popular running and walking footwear. The promotion is typically the store’s largest sale of the year and draws customers from across the region.
This year’s event will again include a community giveback component. For every pair of HOKA sneakers purchased, the store plans to donate a pair to Hundred Nights Shelter, continuing a tradition of supporting residents in need.
Owner Ted McGreer said the anniversary reflects more than two decades of serving the community, with a focus on proper footwear fitting and customer health. Since opening in 1999, the shop has built a loyal customer base while maintaining an emphasis on local involvement.
In addition to the sale, shoppers will receive scratch tickets at checkout for a chance to win prizes, including store discounts, merchandise, and a grand prize trip for two to Italy, featuring a coffee experience arranged through Wheelock Travel.
Representatives from HOKA are expected to be on-site during the event to assist customers and provide information about the brand’s performance-focused shoes, known for their cushioning and support.
The anniversary celebration highlights the store’s continued commitment to both customer service and community engagement, while encouraging residents to shop locally and support long-standing small businesses in downtown Keene.
