KEENE, NH – Police in Hinsdale are investigating after a report of concerning student behavior at the Middle/High school Thursday morning.

In a letter to the community Hinsdale Police Chief Charles Rataj, along with Kim Caron, Interim Superintendent of Schools for the Hinsdale School District, said a community member reported a concern about threatening student behavior earlier this morning. He said the report was also posted on Facebook, and the administration acted swiftly and police were immediately contacted. The school was not placed on a lockdown.

Rataj said details regarding the nature of the threat could not be released due to confidentiality reasons but said the school administration is being as transparent as possible.

The faculty, staff, and administration at HMHS along with Hinsdale police acted out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of the school, and police are investigating the incident.
