Penny Lee (Price) Verdone, 62, of Fitzwilliam, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2024, in the comfort of her home with the love of her husband by her side.

She was born a daughter to the late Inez (Allen) and Gerald Price on December 12, 1961, in Marlborough, MA. She was educated in the Assabet Valley Regional High School class of 1979. Later she went on to take a course obtaining her Certificate in Nursing Assistance.

In 1980, Penny exchanged vows with the love of her life, Barry Louis Verdone. Together, they started a young and beautiful family which she lived each and every day for.

Penny enjoyed her time working as a CNA for over 30 years at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, MA. In her off time she was cooking an amazing meal or out in the garden tending to the flowers. Everything she touched was beautiful.

Mrs. Verdone is survived by her husband, Barry L. Verdone of Fitzwilliam; her children, Adam G.W. Verdone and wife, Shawna of Worcester, MA., and Alison R. Verdone of Winchendon, MA, along with her grandchildren Jamison J.L. Hough, Juliana P.M. Hough, Jax A.R. Hough, Zachary McWilliams, and Brooke McWilliams.

Penny is also survived by her siblings, Larry Price and wife, Cheryl; Scott Price and wife, Anne; her sister and best friend Pamela Vento, and John. Also closely knit with many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Inez and Gerald Price.
