KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Karishma Manzur was the featured guest on Good Morning with Dan Mitchell Wednesday on WKBK Radio, where she discussed the issues driving her campaign and took listeners through her vision for New Hampshire and the nation.

During the interview, Manzur talks about her background as a scientist, peace activist and nonprofit advocate, saying those experiences inspired her to run for the U.S. Senate. She describes housing affordability, childcare costs and access to healthcare as some of the state’s biggest challenges and argues that bold policy changes are needed to address them.

Healthcare is a major focus of the conversation. Manzur outlines her support for a Medicare for All system, explaining why she believes a single-payer approach would expand coverage while reducing overall healthcare costs. She also discusses proposals to strengthen Social Security by eliminating the cap on earnings subject to Social Security taxes.

The interview also explores the influence of money in politics, campaign finance, tax policy and affordable housing. Manzur says she supports a more progressive tax structure, expanded federal investment in affordable housing and universal childcare, while arguing for shifting some federal spending priorities.
