BRATTLEBORO, VT – The Brattleboro Police Department is investigating a pair of armed robberies at convenience stores over the weekend.

Officers responded to the Sunoco on Putney Road in Brattleboro around 12:20 Sunday afternoon for the first reported robbery. The clerk said the suspect brandished a firearm, and described him as a white male, wearing a blue surgical mask, black hooded sweatshirt, and black shorts.

Later, around 9:00 Sunday night, officers responded to another report of an armed robbery, this time at the Sunoco on Canal Street. The clerk there also said the suspect brandished a firearm, and described him as a white male wearing a black beanie, black mask, dark green sweater, and black pants.

Both clerks were uninjured in the incidents, and it’s unclear if the two are connected or not at this point.
