(MyKeeneNow) -Michael “Mike” or “Huddy” James Hudson Sr., 67, of Hinsdale, passed away peacefully and quietly on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024, in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born in Keene, Dec. 31, 1956, son of William White and Marilyn (Hudson). He attended the local school system and graduated from Monadnock Regional High School.

On July 8, 2003, Michael exchanged vows with the love of his life, Dona Johnson. They had a simple service at Mike’s mother’s home in Keene, with family and friends celebrating them.

Mike enjoyed his time working as a truck driver for Cersosimo in Vernon, Vt. for 23 years until he retired in April of 2024. Prior to that, he worked for the Larocke for several years in Gilford, VT.

When knowing Huddy, one knew he was an avid football fan, Ohio State being his favorite team.He was also a NASCAR fan, and enjoyed playing horseshoes.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to family holiday barbecues, and he also loved his job. Most of all, he was an amazing and loving husband. Mike was a member of the American Legion of Keene, Winchester VFW, and a part of the Brattleboro Elks.

Survivors include his wife, Dona Hudson of Hinsdale; his father, William “Bill” White of Keene; his children, Michael Hudson Jr. and wife Melissa of Halifax, VT, Stefanie Ramsay of Keene, Stacey McDonough and husband John of Greenfield, MA., and Jason Bevis and wife Carissa of Gilford; a brother, Randy Hudson and fiancée, Cindi Lambert of Keene; 12 grandchildren, Grace, Lucas, and Jaxon Ramsay, Hayley, Andrew, and Trevor Hudson, Briar, Carsyn, Emmitt Bevis, Robert and wife Sydney LaBelle, Kyle and wife Olivia LaBelle and Liam McDonough; two great-grandchildren, Braelynn and Emmerson; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, 60 Forest Lake Road, Winchester.
