(MyKeeneNow) – Dorothy K. (Kennedy) Ingram, 94, a resident of Swanzey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene.

She was born in Swanzey April 19, 1930, daughter of Lucy (Henry) and Robert Kennedy.

On Feb. 28, 1948, Dorothy exchanged vows with the love of her life, Linwood “Bill” Ingram. They had a simple service in Brattleboro, VT with family and friends celebrating them. They were happily married for 66 years until Linwood passed away on April 12, 2014.

Dorothy was a homemaker and raised her five children. She loved and took great pride in being a mom. Later, after her children had their own children, she loved being a “Mimi” to her grandchildren. She also loved to knit and sew, play cards and travel. She had a great love for animals, flowers, and country music, and adored being able to attend the activities that her grandchildren enjoyed. She loved to laugh, and had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include her five children, G. Steven Ingram and his wife, Kathy, of Leicester VT, Terry Keith and her husband, Kyle, of Westmoreland, Susan Lencioni and her husband, Scott, of Swanzey, Jeffrey Ingram and his wife, Lori-Anne, of Westmoreland, and Shawna-Lee Perrin and her husband, David Perrin Jr. of Westmoreland; two sisters, Marion Bedard of Swanzey and Patricia Barker of Cape Cod; and her beloved grandchildren, Callum Ingram, Luke Ingram and his wife, Alexandra Kosiba, Kristopher Keith, Brett Keith and his wife, Danielle Keith, Anna Lencioni and her wife, Sofia Alexander, Rebecca Lencioni, Alec Ingram and Ian Ingram; and a great-grandchild, Lauren Keith.

She is predeceased in death by her parents, Lucy (Henry) and Robert Kennedy; her loving husband, Linwood “Bill” Ingram, her brothers, Robert, George, William “Bill,” and Joseph “Joe” Kennedy; her sister, Irene Madden, and her brothers-in-law, Armand Bedard, Milan Madden and Vance Barker.

The family is accepting either flowers and/or donations in Dorothy’s name to Cedarcrest in Keene, an organization dear to her heart. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m. at the Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel, 44 Maple Ave., Keene, NH. 03431.
