KEENE, NH – Machina Kitchen & ArtBar in Downtown Keene will close for a week to make a few updates.
In a news release, restaurant owner Danya Landis said that as she and her staff celebrate their fifth anniversary, they’re going to take a moment to reflect on that time, and close temporarily to “rejuvenate and realign with the core values that guided Machina’s original vision.”
The restaurant will be closed from April 21st-April 29th for extensive staff training, menu updates, and planning of future events and community activities.
“Looking forward, we are enthusiastic about introducing enriching additions to our weekly events calendar and refreshing our offerings for lunch and brunch, reflecting our reinvigorated dedication to quality, art, community, and creativity,” the release says.
Landis says the decision for the closure came after the challenging period marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, and because of economic pressures including significant inflation impacts.
There will be a soft reopening on Tuesday April 30th with a new dinner menu, leading up to a grand reopening dance party on Friday May 10th. The party theme is “Titans of the Industry”, and will feature a steampunk gala and a DJ set from the restaurant’s co-founder Rebecca Hamilton.
The grand reopening party is open to anyone age 21 and over and runs from 10 pm to 1 am.
