KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) The 2024 Good Friends campaign raised $45,310 for Feeding Tiny Tummies, a nonprofit that supports food-insecure children in Cheshire and Sullivan Counties.

The campaign, led during the holiday season by Savings Bank of Walpole (SBW) in collaboration with Douglas Cuddle Toys and KNE-FM, featured four popular stuffed animal ambassadors—Neo Dragon, Libby Sloth, Colbie Cat, and Farm Truck—created and donated by Douglas Cuddle Toys, according to a news release.

More than 4,500 of the toys were sold for $10 each at SBW branches, with all proceeds going directly to the nonprofit, the release said.

Feeding Tiny Tummies provides food for children in schools, Head Start programs, preschools, and daycare facilities, ensuring their nutritional and educational needs are met. Each food package also includes an academic item, such as activity pages, crayons, or books, to nurture children’s minds along with their bodies.

Jennifer Dassau, Director of Feeding Tiny Tummies, expressed gratitude for the ongoing support: “We’re grateful to Douglas Cuddle Toys and WKNE-FM for their continued commitment in creating and implementing the Good Friends campaign which will help us in our efforts toward feeding the tummies and the minds of the next generation and ensure the needs of children with food insecurities in our community are met,” she said.

SBW’s commitment to the campaign has turned it into a cherished local tradition. “The Good Friends campaign has become a real tradition for our staff, with each year showcasing the growing support and commitment of our community,” said Danielle Ruffo, VP of Community Engagement and Marketing for SBW. “We couldn’t do it without the extreme generosity of our friends at Douglas Cuddle Toys.”
