Christine Allen, former executive director of Keene-based Monadnock Peer Support (MPS), faces federal charges for allegedly embezzling nearly $200,000 from the mental health nonprofit. The indictment claims Allen, 50, misused MPS funds between 2021 and 2023 for personal expenses, including Amazon orders, home renovations, and recreational equipment. Charged with four counts of wire fraud, Allen could face up to 20 years in prison per count if convicted. The investigation was conducted by the FBI and IRS.
