KEENE, NH – The Executive Director of the Colonial Performing Arts Center in Downtown Keene is stepping down from the position.
In a news release Friday Board Chair Tom Minkler announced that Alec Doyle has “moved on” from his role at the theater after more than two decades of service.
“During his tenure, Alec deepened community support and engagement, grew the Board of directors, and brought world-class artists and performances to the Monadnock region,” the release said.
Doyle is also credited with driving fundraising, design, and development efforts for the Next act Capital Campaign, the $12 million renovation that “transformed the century-old Colonial Theatre into a state-of-the-art campus committed to fostering Keene’s vibrant arts community.”
The release didn’t give a reason for Doyle’s departure or elaborate on what he’s doing next but did wish him well in his future pursuits.
The Board will select an interim leader as the national search for Doyle’s permanent replacement is conducted.
