KEENE, NH – Two girls named in an Amber Alert early Friday morning have been located safely in Keene.

New Hampshire State Police activated the Amber Alert System at the request of of the Berlin, New Hampshire police department and asked for the public’s assistance in locating Elowyn Duren, 4, and Vaelyn Duren, 1 who was believe to be with their father, Dustin Mark Duren, 37, in a white 2017 Subaru Impreza.

The exact circumstances on how the three were located is unclear at this point. They were reportedly found near the Applebee’s restaurant on Key Road. Dustin Mark Duren has been taken into custody and the girls were evaluated by Keene Fire/EMS and are physically unharmed.

The mother of the two girls, Caitlyn Naffziger, 31, was found dead in an apartment on Main Street in Berlin Thursday night.

Naffziger’s death is under investigation by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office.
