KEENE, NH – C&S Wholesale Grocers, one of the largest employers in the Monadnock Region, has named its next Chief Executive Officer.

According to a news release, Eric Winn, who currently serves as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, will assume the role of CEO on October 2nd, when current CEO Bob Palmer is set to retire.

Palmer was initially set to retire in 2019 after more than 30 years with the company, but he returned to become CEO in October 2020. He’ll continue to remain a part of the company after this retirement, as a member of the board of directors.

Winn has been with C&S since 2004 and has held several leadership positions in his time there. In his most recent position, Winn lead all operations, transportation, customer development, and expansion.

“Eric has been visionary in transforming our operations to drive long-term sustainable growth,” said Rick Cohen, Chairman, C&S Wholesale Grocers. “He has been deeply invested in ensuring that C&S will continue to be a market leader, while developing a pipeline of strong talent in every aspect of our operations.”

Winn and Palmer will work together over the next couple of months to ensure a smooth transition in October.
