KEENE, NH – One man is facing charges following an early morning home invasion.

According to a news release from the Keene Police Department, officers were called to a home on Cross Street Tuesday morning for a reported home invasion with an assault following an altercation on Vernon Street.

On scene officers found that multiple people were injured, and an ambulance was requested immediately.

Following a preliminary on-scene investigation, officers identified Stephen Bryan, 23, of Keene as the suspect. During the course of the investigation the release says Bryan struck an officer in the jaw.

That officer was taken to Cheshire Medical Center as a precaution and was treated and released. Details on the extent of the officer’s injury were not provided.

Officers arrested Bryan shortly before 12:30 AM and charged him with felony Burglary, along with misdemeanor counts of Simple Assault and Resisting Arrest/Detention.

Byran was ordered held at the Cheshire County House of Corrections and was scheduled to be arraigned in Cheshire County Superior Court Tuesday.
