KEENE, NH – Hoping for a longer run than last year in the NCAA DIII Men’s basketball tournament Keene State College traveled to North Carolina for sectional semi-finals, but fell short.

KSC hosted Eastern University, The College of New Jersey, and Marymount University in the first and second rounds, defeating Marymount and Eastern to advance to the Sweet 16.

According to a news release, the No. 5 ranked Owls committed a season high 21 turnovers and lost to Guilford College in Greensboro North Carolina 82-60, ending their season.

KSC made the Elite Eight in 2004 and 2017 and the Sweet 16 in 2007, 2016, and 2023.  They have made nine NCAA appearances overall.

Guilford hosts defending national champion and No. 23 Christopher Newport University tonight at 7:15 p.m. with a trip to the Final Four on the line.
