KEENE, NH – Area city’s, town’s, and schools are cancelling and postponing their town meetings, elections, and other events due to inclement weather.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect beginning at 8 pm Monday night through 8 am Wednesday morning. WKBK Staff Meteorologist Pat Pagano is calling for a foot of accumulation locally, with possibly more in higher elevations.

Eversource has crews on standby to respond to any potential power outages.

With the weather in mind, the Town of Winchester and the Winchester School District have decided to postpone their election until March 28th. Voting will still be held at the Winchester School from 8am to 7 pm that day.

Sullivan Town and school elections have also been postponed to March 28th. Polls will be open from 11 am to 7 pm at town hall. The town and school meetings scheduled for Wednesday at 7 pm will still be held as planned.

The town of Langdon has postponed until March 28th as well.

The Keene School District has also moved their elections to March 28th in the following locations.
Chesterfield: 10 am – 7pm, Chesterfield School. Town and school meetings still scheduled for March 18th at 10 am
Harrisville: 11 am – 8 pm, Wells Memorial School. Annual school business meeting at 6 pm, town businesses meeting 7 pm
Keene School District: 7:30 am – 7 pm – Keene Recreation Center
Marlborough: 1 pm – 9 pm, Marlborough School, town meeting 7 pm
Marlow: 11 am  – 7 pm, John D. Perkins Academy. School District business meeting March 16th at 7 pm, town business meeting March 18th at 10 am.
Nelson: 11 am – 7 pm town hall. Annual business meeting March 18th 11 am  – 7 pm
Westmoreland: 11 am – 7 pm, town hall, town meeting March 15th 7 pm, school district meeting March 17th 7 pm.

The Monadnock Regional School District and the Town of Swanzey will still hold regular voting on Tuesday, but those who would like can obtain an absentee ballot Monday by contacting town hall.

Keene City Council was scheduled to hold their first Downtown Improvement project workshop Tuesday evening, but that has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at their full meeting Thursday night.
