KEENE, NH – Tuesday’s Nor’easter has come and gone, but not without leaving a trail of damage behind.

Eversource spokesman William Hinkle joined WKBK’s Good Morning program to provide an update Wednesday morning. He said many of the hardest hit communities in the storm are in the Monadnock Region and serviced by the Keene area work center. He said local and out of state crews have been working to repair damage and restore power since the storm began. He said many customers will be restored today, but restoration efforts will continue through the later part of the week. Damage has continued to be reported this morning as the wind picks up and snow continues to weigh heavily on wires and branches.

In an update around lunchtime Wednesday afternoon, Hinkle said that restoration efforts should be substantially completed by 6 pm on Friday March 17th, with many restored sooner.

The town of Marlow also alerted drivers that due to the amount of snow the roadways are very narrow, and there are a lot of trees down already with more likely to fall.

There were numerous reports of trees and wires down throughout the day during the storm on Tuesday. Some roads are still closed or reduced to one lane Wednesday morning. Up to date information on road closures is available here.
