KEENE, NH – Another round of snow is on its way to pummel the Monadnock Region to start the weekend.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning from 10:00 Friday night through 7:00 Saturday evening. The NWS says heavy snow is expected with gusty winds as high as 35 miles per hour in some areas.
WKBK Staff Meteorologist Pat Pagano is predicting a total of 6-12″ of snow locally, with more in higher elevations.
The NWS is predicting hazardous travel conditions across the region, and snapped branches that could cause power outages.
Eversource Spokesman William Hinkle says the power company has been monitoring the forecasts and making preparations as necessary to respond to any potential power outages as usual with any winter storm. That includes steps to posture the system, ensure that equipment is ready, and position crews where they may be needed.
