KEENE, NH – A long-standing diner in Downtown Keene had no takers at an auction Tuesday afternoon.
Lindy’s Diner on Gilbo Avenue has been in operation for more than six decades with four different owners over the decades. The current owners are retiring to spend more time with family, and put the diner up for auction.
An on-site auction was held at Lindy’s Tuesday afternoon where the diner had no takers.
According to soauctions.com, the sale included real estate and business assets, including booths, tables, refrigeration, dishes, silverware, cookware, menus, the trade name “Lindy’s Diner”, the domain & website www.lindysdiner.com, and the business phone number.
With ongoing successful revenue, the auction website calls the diner a once in a lifetime, turn-key opportunity. Within a six-day period in mid-October the diner made more than $23,000, and averages nearly $900,000 in gross revenue annually. Lindy’s was also voted best Breakfast, Diner, and Cheap Eats 2023 in Monadnock Broadcasting Group’s Keene’s Best awards.
