KEENE, NH – This Tuesday March 21st, 2023 is the first full day of Spring and WKBK Meteorologist Pat Pagano thinks this spring and into the first part of summer will be warm and rainy.

Spring officially arrived in the Monadnock Region at 5:24 pm on Monday. Pagano released his Spring Forecast for 2023 on Tuesday for April-June.

“Looks on the wet and warm side,” Pagano said in the forecast. “Easter looks fair, Memorial Day should be warm and more humid, some thunder.”

For the first week of April, Pagano predicts April showers, followed by sun and rain the next week, a sunny and nice start to week three with heavy rains later, and week four he’s predicting the same pattern, “bright start – wet finish.”

Looking ahead to May, Pagano expects it to be more of a rainy pattern, with week one starting and ending with showers, it’ll be fair in between. Week two he expects showers and thunderstorms followed by a few “pleasant” days, he predicts a similar pattern for the third week but notes that it’ll be warm, and then for the fourth week of May he predicts there will be showers and it’ll be humid, with some late Thunderstorms.

Easter is on Sunday, April 9th, and Memorial Day is on Monday, May 29th this year.

Heading into June, he believes the first few days of the month will feature some thunderstorms, some could be strong or severe, followed by rain and sun. The second week appears to be showery once again then it’ll clear up. He’s predicting showers and thunderstorms for week three and says it’ll be hot, and the last week he thinks it’ll be “typical summer weather.”

Summer will officially arrive on Wednesday, June 21st at 10:57 am Eastern time.
