KEENE, NH – Authorities say two people were killed in a crash on Route 9 in Roxbury early Thursday morning.

According to a news release from New Hampshire State Police Troop C, the crash was reported shortly after 3:30 Thursday morning near the Sullivan town line. Upon arrival first responders determined that both drivers were deceased, their names were withheld pending notification of next of kin, but have since been released.

An investigation revealed that a 2016 Honda Accord, driven by Ratebuka Dieudonne, 34, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee was traveling east on Route 9 when the vehicle encroached into the westbound lane and struck a 2007 Honda CRV, driven by Kent Vincent, 71, of Greenfield New Hampshire head on. Both drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles and were pronounced dead at the scene.

All aspects of the crash, including the cause remain under investigation, but NHSP said that drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors. The New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit was on the scene to assist, along with members of the Keene Police and Fire Departments, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

A section of Route 9 remained closed for about six hours as crews investigated and cleared the scene. It reopened around 9:30 Thursday morning.
