KEENE, NH – Thousands of Granite Staters are still without power Tuesday morning following Monday’s wind and rainstorm.
All flood warnings, watches, and advisories have expired at this point but several communities around the state are dealing with some flooding and washed-out bridges, some needing to be evacuated.
As of 6:00 Tuesday morning about 3,000 Eversource customers remain without power, many of those in the Monadnock Region. According to the outage map, most should have their power restored by 10:00 tonight.
Eversource Spokesman William Hinkle told WKBK Monday morning that the power company brought in additional line and tree crews to help restore power and quickly and safely as possible.
Over in Brattleboro town officials say some parts of the town got 4 inches of rain, prompting some evacuations in West Brattleboro. Those people have been able to return home at this point. More than half a dozen roads were closed in Brattleboro as well, crews are expected to get to work today.
