KEENE, NH – Three people are in custody following an alleged robbery at Home Depot in Keene.
In a news release, the Keene Police Department said they responded to Home Depot on Ash Brook Road in Keene shortly after 8:30 Wednesday morning on a report that three suspects entered the store and began filling bags with merchandise from the shelves.
The suspects were reported to be wearing face coverings and had visible firearms in their possession.
The suspects fled the store and were seen heading westbound on Route 9 towards Chesterfield in a gold-colored Chevrolet. Police located the vehicle in Chesterfield and the release says the driver attempted to elude police and a pursuit was initiated.
The driver led officers through Chesterfield and circled back to Route 9 westbound, and officers from the Keene and Chesterfield police departments pursued the vehicle to the Vermont state line where police lost sight of the vehicle.
Information about the crime and the suspect vehicle was broadcast to surrounding towns and it was later located by Massachusetts State Police. The suspects led officers on another pursuit, but the vehicle ultimately stopped and the three occupants fled on foot.
According to a press release from the Greenfield MA Police Department the suspects stopped on Duren Drive near Greenfield Community College and ran toward College Drive.
All three occupants, which Keene Police did not identify in the release, were found a short time later and taken into custody. The Keene Police Department is working with Massachusetts State Police to bring criminal charges in New Hampshire.
