WINCHESTER, N.H. – A woman was killed in a lawn mower accident in Winchester Sunday.
Winchester police responded to a call of a potential injury involving a zero-turn lawn mower just before 4 p.m. on Burt Hill Road.
Chief David Rice said the woman, in her late 50s, was found by a family member, who called police. There was no one present when the incident took place.
When first responders arrived, they found the lawn mower tipped over. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Chief Rice said the initial assessment suggests it may have been accidental or related to a medical issue. The exact cause of the rollover remains unknown at this time.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation by the Winchester Police Department in collaboration with the coroner’s office.
The woman’s identity has not yet been released.
