KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – Authorities say an arrest has been made in connection with the shooting death of a teenager in Keene last week.

Police responded to a 911 call in the Riverside Plaza during the early morning hours on Wednesday, June 25, and found Christian Walker, 17, of Orange, MA, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to Cheshire Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at about 1:50 a.m. that morning.

An autopsy determined Walker died of a gunshot wound to the abdomen and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.

At the time, the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office said that all parties involved had been identified and there was no threat to the public. A section of Riverside Plaza from HomeGoods to Sierra was taped off as the investigation continued on Wednesday.

In an update Monday afternoon, the AG’s office said that an arrest has been made in connection with Walker’s death. The suspected perpetrator is a minor, and per state law no further information can be released at this point.

“It shall be unlawful for any person to disclose court records or any part thereof to persons other than those persons entitled to access under RSA 169-B:35, except by court order. Any person who knowingly violates this provision shall be guilty of a misdemeanor,” the law outlined in a news release states.

Friends and family of Walker gathered for a vigil in the parking lot Thursday evening, and a car meet to honor Walker was scheduled for Sunday, June 29 in Athol.
