KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) A new hub for creativity and collaboration has opened its doors in the heart of downtown Keene.

Local interior designer Ann Henderson celebrated the grand opening of her new business location, Ann Henderson Interiors, at 41 Central Square on Sunday. The space combines her interior design services with studio spaces for four local artists and an art gallery.

The roughly 3,000-square-foot storefront previously housed the Concord MedSpa and the Keene Fine Craft Gallery. Henderson, who had been operating out of a smaller space at 16 West St., was inspired to expand after noticing a shortage of downtown studio options for artists.

Taryn Fisher, who leased the space in 2019 as a League of N.H. Craftsmen’s gallery, initially suggested she convert the partitioned areas into artist studios. Fisher now has an at-home gallery on Court Street with rotating artist exhibits on Court Street.

The new location features three artist studios alongside a design showroom. Artists Shannon Perry, Melanie Fedorowicz, and Sam Silegy of Keene, along with Pat Moodie of Walpole, now call the space home. The artists’ work lines the hallways and walls of the showroom, creating a vibrant display of creativity.

Henderson’s vision for the space is to foster collaboration between interior design and the arts.

Rotating exhibits and events are planned, including a monotype printmaking workshop on Dec. 14 hosted by Perry and Fedorowicz.

Perry and Fedorowicz, both art educators, share a studio and operate their collaborative project, “Art Jam with Mel and Shann,” from the space. Their work ranges from watercolor and acrylic paintings to digital and traditional printmaking. Silegy, a recent graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, specializes in science fiction and fantasy illustrations, while Moodie repurposes computer components and acrylic screens into intricate floral lamps and sculptures.

The space’s artists are already brainstorming additional ways to connect with the community, including hosting art classes, private events, and seasonal showcases.

The public is invited to visit Ann Henderson Interiors during business hours, Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can explore the artists’ studios, purchase original works, and experience the unique blend of interior design and local art.
