MARLBOROUGH, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – Area fire crews are currently on scene of a structure fire at a building near the post office on Route 101 (Main Street) in Marlborough.

According to Southwestern New Hampshire Fire Mutual Aid the blaze was reported at 1:35 Friday afternoon and it was upgraded to a second alarm.

The blaze was initially reported at 134 Main Street, but it appears to be at 138 Main Street. Fire officials have not confirmed any details at this point.

Scanner activity indicates the fire fully engulfed the building’s front porch. At 2:19 p.m. the bulk of the fire had been knocked down with substantial overhaul, according to the scanner activity.

Traffic was moving slowly through the area and being diverted onto Water Street. That section of the roadway was closed at 1:51 p.m.
