KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) A 29-year-old Charlestown man will serve jail time and remain under long-term probation after pleading guilty to multiple counts of felonious sexual assault involving a teenager, according to records from Cheshire County Superior Court.
Jeramia Nash was sentenced Monday to two years at the Cheshire County House of Corrections. The court recommended the sentence be served on electronic monitoring.
As part of a plea agreement, Nash admitted guilt to four counts of felonious sexual assault for incidents that occurred between July and December 2023. In exchange, prosecutors dropped five additional charges of the same nature.
Court documents show Nash also received two concurrent sentences of 3½ to 7 years in the New Hampshire State Prison, both suspended for 20 years on the condition of good behavior. He will remain on probation for five years and must undergo a psycho-sexual evaluation and complete any recommended treatment programs.
The sentencing orders bar Nash from having any contact—directly or indirectly—with the victim. He is also required to comply with counseling and education programs as directed by probation officers.
The case was prosecuted under the state’s sexual assault laws, which carry enhanced penalties when the victim is underage.
