KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Six new physicians have joined the growing Family Medicine Residency program at Cheshire Medical Center, further strengthening primary care services in the Monadnock Region.

The new arrivals—Drs. Trevor A. Read, Grace A. Marrinan, Vinh H. Le, Shea A. Bellino, Douglas A.I. Lischke, and Fatima Shaukat—make up the second class of residents in the program, which launched in 2024. They bring the total number of resident doctors in training at Cheshire to 12.

“These new resident physicians are passionate about primary care and community health,” said Dr. Karl A. Dietrich, program director. “We’re thrilled to have them join us.”

The residents will begin seeing patients later this month at the Family & Community Care clinic on Maple Avenue in Keene. In addition to outpatient care, they will rotate through a range of clinical departments throughout the medical center under the supervision of board-certified physicians. After completing their three-year program, each will be eligible to practice independently as a family physician.

Cheshire Medical Center developed its residency program to address a critical shortage of primary care providers in the region. The program is part of the hospital’s broader mission to improve access to care and grow the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Cheshire is a member of Dartmouth Health and the largest healthcare provider in the region. The hospital has served the community for more than 130 years.
