KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – While much of the public input phase of the Vision Keene 20-Forward project has already happened, the City of Keene is still giving the community opportunities to weigh in.
Senior City Planner Mari Brunner joined WKBK’s Open Mic program this week to provide an update on the project and said that much of the work in this phase of the project, which updates the city’s Master Plan, is behind the scenes.
Brunner went before the Keene City Council Thursday evening and presented an update to the council, where she announced new online discussion boards.
According to the project website, the boards directly correlate to the Strategic Pillar topic areas of the comprehensive master planning process, which came out of various workshops and meetings held with the public throughout the year.
Those interested can review in-depth background information on each of the Strategic Pillar Topics and access the boards at KeeneMasterPlan.com.
In the discussion boards residents can leave comments and read comments that others have left.
The city will be holding an open house at the Keene Public Library on December 11, 12, and 13 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for those who would like to see the website and discussion boards but need assistance.
As for the next steps of the project, Brunner said that Task Forces are meeting throughout January, February, and March, and noted there will be more opportunities for public participation.
