Washington, D.C. (MyKeeneNow) In a telephone town hall attended by more than 3,500 Granite Staters, N.H. Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander reaffirmed her commitment to protecting the Constitution and serving her constituents. Addressing concerns over recent executive actions, Goodlander reassured residents that she is fighting to safeguard federal funding, veterans’ benefits, and data privacy.

People across New Hampshire are experiencing uncertainty and anxiety due to executive actions like a federal funding freeze and proposed tariffs, she said, adding that she and her team hears, supports and is fighting for the people of New Hampshire in Congress.

Among the key concerns raised were the impact of the federal funding freeze on law enforcement, education, small businesses, and healthcare. Several local leaders, including mayors from Nashua, Concord, Claremont, Berlin, and Franklin, joined the discussion to highlight the risks posed to their communities.

During the town hall, a veteran expressed concern about the future of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Goodlander assured him that she is committed to protecting the VA and ensuring veterans continue to receive the services and benefits they have earned.

Another major topic of discussion was the importance of restoring the legislative branch’s role in funding decisions. Goodlander emphasized that she will use every tool available to prevent unilateral executive actions from disrupting critical federal funding.

Additionally, concerns were raised about threats to data privacy and the security of the financial system. The Congresswoman stated that she is working on legislative solutions to safeguard private information and prevent unauthorized access to sensitive federal payment systems.

Goodlander encouraged constituents to remain engaged and to reach out to her office for assistance with any disruptions in federal benefits or payments.
