KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) City officials say Court Street Well No. 2 will be taken offline on Wednesday, Feb. 11, as part of routine operations. The temporary shutdown could cause short-term changes in water flow throughout the system, which may result in discolored tap water for some customers.

Residents who notice discoloration are advised to run cold water from a single faucet for about 10 minutes. If the water does not clear, they should wait 30 minutes and try again. Ongoing issues can be reported to the Keene Public Works Department at 352-6550.

Anyone who finds discoloration after doing laundry is urged not to dry the affected clothing. Public Works staff at 350 Marlboro St. can provide a stain-removal product at no cost. For additional information, residents can contact the department directly.
