BRATTLEBORO, VT (MyKeeneNow) Brattleboro police arrested four people during a late-night traffic stop on Canal Street last Monday. The incident, which occurred just before 11 p.m. unfolded when officers pulled over a vehicle for investigation.

During the stop, officers identified one of the occupants, Adam Matyas, 48, of Newfane, as having an active arrest warrant in Vermont. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered 1.33 grams of crack cocaine and two bags of fentanyl.

Matyas was taken into custody and held on $100 bail, appearing in court later that day. The vehicle’s three other occupants—Mark Krause, 37, of Hinsdale; Jessica Spinella, 41, of Newfane; and Wallace Bly, 42, of Vernon—were also arrested. However, they were released with citations to appear in court on Dec. 31, 2024.
