The Wakefield Police Department was conducting a welfare check at the home on Province Lake Road shortly before 4:30 p.m. Christmas Day when according to a news release from New Hampshire State Police (NSHP), officers found four adults dead inside.
Investigators from the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office were requested to assist on scene and it appears that carbon monoxide poisoning was the cause.
