KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) After confirming the move just under four months ago, Fritz, the restaurant that’s known for its Belgian-style fries, is inching closer to officially opening at their new location on West Street.
According to a Facebook post from the restaurant, Monday was spent cleaning the interior of the restaurant along with its appliances, along with “scrubbing and organizing everything” according to the post.
Fritz had originally planned to open in their new location on Saturday, Jan. 3, but in a Facebook post on Friday, Jan. 2, said “More [progress] being made but some bumps [Friday] means we won’t be opening [Saturday] as hoped.”
All of Tuesday will be spent prepping for their opening in the new location, which is currently planned for 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, beginning with breakfast.
In addition to improving service efficiency, Fritz plans to introduce an updated breakfast menu that includes more grab-and-go items. The West Street location also offers free, expanded parking, which management says will improve customer access.
Originally opening in 2003, this is the third time that the restaurant has moved. Originally located in the Center at Colony Mill, they moved to Central Square on Main Street, before this most recent move to 298 West Street, most recently home to a Panera Bread. This building has been vacant since Panera moved to the Monadnock Marketplace in 2023.
Fritz thanked its customers for their patience and support in the post.
