Hillsboro, NH – A Bennington, NH man is facing multiple charges following a high-speed pursuit in Hillsboro Sunday. Andrew Fletcher Mackenzie, 22, was arrested following a vehicle pursuit in Hillsboro, according to a press release on the Hillsboro Police Department’s Facebook page, which said Mackenzie failed to stop for officers attempting to initiate a traffic stop and fled at a high rate of speed.
During the pursuit, Mackenzie struck a traffic island, causing damage to his vehicle, which ultimately came to a stop on Antrim Road just past the courthouse. He was taken into custody without further incident, police said.
Mackenzie faces numerous charges, including Disobeying an Officer, Reckless Operation, Negligent Operation, Operating After Certified Habitual Offender, and Uninspected Vehicle. He was being held on $5,000 cash bail at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections.
