KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) A Keene man was hospitalized with serious injuries early Tuesday morning after his car veered off the road and struck a tree at the intersection of Pearl Street and Meadow Road, igniting in flames shortly after the crash.
Keene Police and Fire Departments responded just before 1 a.m. to find a 2008 Honda Accord ablaze following a single-vehicle collision. The driver, identified as 34-year-old Shawn Brousseau of Keene, was the only person inside the vehicle.
Officers pulled Brousseau from the burning car before fire crews arrived to extinguish the flames. He was initially taken to Cheshire Medical Center and later airlifted to Boston Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
The Keene Police Department’s Collision Analysis Team is continuing to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Detective Andrew Lippincott at 357-9820.
