KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) The Keene Senior Center has received a $19,569 donation from the Keene Revo Casino, a contribution that leaders say will help sustain essential programs for older adults in the community.

The funds, presented on July 15 by Keene Revo Casino General Manager Cesar Sierra, will help cover a portion of the nonprofit’s $324,000 annual operating budget. Executive Director Kim Rumrill said the timing of the gift is critical as many small nonprofits face tightening budgets and rising costs.

“The generous support we’ve received from the Keene Revo Casino helps us meet our $324,000 annual budget during a time when many small nonprofits are facing significant financial challenges,” said Rumrill. “We are deeply grateful for their continued commitment to our mission.”

The Senior Center offers a wide range of programs for residents aged 50 and older, including fitness and yoga classes, card and board games, and daily hot lunches. It also operates Cheshire Village at Home, a membership program that provides transportation, help with small household chores, and opportunities for social engagement.

Sierra said the casino’s contribution is part of its broader commitment to New Hampshire’s Charitable Gaming program, which channels a portion of proceeds to local organizations.

The Keene Senior Center, located at 312 Marlboro Street, Suite 100, welcomes visitors Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. More information is available at 352-5037.
