KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – Keene’s new skate park is set to open in a few weeks.
Keene Parks and Recreation Director Carrah Fisk-Hennessey provided the details to WKBK on Monday. She said they’ve done the final pour, and it’ll take 28 days for the asphalt to cure, putting the opening date for the new park on Water Street on November 8th.
There will be a grand opening ceremony in the spring, but Fisk-Hennessey says the community is welcome to start using the park on and after November 8th.
Some work that still needs to be completed includes permanent fencing and a walkway.
The park will be open daily from 8:30 am to dusk.
Public Works Director Don Lussier will join WKBK at 9:10 Wednesday morning and will provide further details on the project.
