PROVIDENCE, R.I. (MyKeeneNow) The Little East Conference recently announced their postseason awards for the 2024-2025 season and for the second time in as many years, Keene State College’s Brynn Rautiola earned the First Team All-LEC selection after another impressive season for the Owls.
Rautiola picked up right where she left off after her First Team All-LEC and Rookie of the Year selection in 2023-2024 this season as she continued to be one of the top scorers in the conference. Rautiola’s 470 points are the second most in the LEC on the year (45th most in all of NCAA Division III women’s basketball this season and the sixth most in a single season for the Owls in program history) and her 18.8 points per game average was the second-best in the LEC (34th best in all of Division III and fifth best in a season in program history). Rautiola shot 35.1 percent (136-for-411) from the field including 32.3 percent from three as her 82 threes (on 268 attempts) are tied for the sixth most in DIII and tied for the second-most in a season in program history. Her mark of 3.3 threes per game is the fifth-best average in DIII on the season, both the season-highs in the LEC. At the line Rautiola made 116 on 140 attempts as her 116 makes are the 40th most in DIII on the year and tied for the fourth-most in a season for the Owls, while her free throw percentage of 82.9 percent was the second-best in the LEC on the year and fourth-best percentage (minimum of 50 attempts) on a season for KSC. Rautiola also recorded 2.9 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1.2 steals per game on the season while playing 34.3 minutes per game for the Owls.
At the end of her sophomore season, Rautiola currently sits tied for the 21st most points in program history with 961, just 39 points away from becoming the 20th member of the 1,000-point club for the KSC women’s basketball program. Rautiola has recorded 150 threes over her first two seasons for the Owls, as she is currently tied for the 10th most in a career, while her three-point percentage of 32.3 percent is the 11th-best. At the line, out of all Owls in program history with a minimum of 100 free throws made, Rautiola is the program leaders in free throw percentage with 84.4 percent as her 243 free throws made (on 288 attempts) are tied for the 13th most in program history as she is on pace to shatter Courtney Circillo’s program record of 370 made free throws.
Rautiola helped lead the No.5 Owls to their first LEC Semifinal appearance since the 2016-2017 season after KSC defeated No. 4 Eastern Connecticut State University 56-45 in the first-round matchup, before KSC ultimately fell to No.1 and eventual LEC Champion University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth in the Semifinal.
