KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) The Keene Public Works Department is set to begin overnight leaf collection in the downtown area this week, using electric leaf blowers and other equipment. The work kicks off late Thursday night, Nov. 21, and will focus on several key streets, including Court Street, Washington Street and Main Street.

To ensure the process runs smoothly, parking restrictions will be in effect during the early hours of Friday, Nov. 22. Here’s the schedule:

  • Court Street and Washington Street (entire length): No parking from midnight to 6 a.m.
  • Central Square and Main Street (from Central Square to Route 101): No parking from 1 to 6 a.m.

Drivers are advised to plan accordingly and remove their vehicles from these areas ahead of time to avoid complications. The city appreciates the community’s cooperation as crews work to maintain Keene’s downtown spaces.
