KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow.com) The annual United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots began in the state of New Hampshire on Nov. 14 and will continue in the Granite State until Dec. 12. In association with the United States Marine Corps, the New Hampshire State Police have been hosting donation sites and days since Nov. 21, continuing through Saturday, Dec. 6.
Keene’s Toys for Tots event took place on Saturday, Nov. 29, two days after Thanksgiving, and was a smashing success. According to New Hampshire State Police Lieutenant and Troop Commander Sean Eaton, the event in Keene, held outside of Target, garnered over $1000 in monetary donations. In addition to monetary donations, Eaton said that they also collected 12 boxes of toys and five bicycles.
While there are only a few more State Police collection events, new, unwrapped toys can be dropped at off at any of the NHSP’s collection site during business hours, which is Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The collection sites are all of the barracks for Troops A through F, as well as the Marine Patrol Headquarters and the State Police Headquarters. If you’re unable to donate in person, online orders from Amazon can be shipped to:

Fifield says “The toy drive … will start distribution on [Dec. 14] and continue until I run out of needy children.”
In addition to the NHSP hosting Toys for Tots collection events, WKBK’s Dan Mithcell will be hosting a live edition of the Good Morning Program from Walier Chevrolet, where him and Wally Reny will collect new, unwrapped toys from 6-10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9. Toys can be dropped off at Walier Chevrolet from now until Dec. 12 during dealership business hours.
