KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) A Keene woman arrested last year after police broke a truck window to take her into custody has received a suspended state prison sentence and county jail time following her conviction on multiple charges tied to a stolen vehicle incident.
Cassandra L. Wilkinson, 40, was sentenced Jan. 27 in Cheshire County Superior Court after pleading guilty to felony and misdemeanor offenses stemming from a September 2025 arrest in the Riverside Plaza parking lot.
On the felony charge of receiving stolen property, Wilkinson was sentenced to 12 months at the Cheshire County House of Correction, with all but 148 days suspended. Court records show she received credit for time already served.
Wilkinson was also convicted on a felony count of theft by unauthorized taking, for which she received a two-year New Hampshire State Prison sentence, suspended for five years, meaning she will not serve that prison time unless she violates the terms of her sentence or probation.
In addition to the felony convictions, Wilkinson pleaded guilty to several misdemeanor charges, including driving while intoxicated (first offense), resisting arrest, disobeying an officer, and criminal trespass. Jail sentences imposed on those charges were either fully credited as time served or ordered to run concurrently.
As part of her DWI conviction, Wilkinson was fined $500 plus penalty assessments, had her driver’s license revoked for nine months, and was ordered to complete New Hampshire’s impaired driver care management program, including substance use screening and any recommended treatment.
The court also ordered Wilkinson to pay more than $5,000 in restitution to multiple victims connected to the case. Additional conditions of her sentence include compliance with probation, participation in counseling or treatment programs as directed, and remaining of good behavior.
The charges stem from a Sept. 2, 2025 incident that began when Walpole police issued a be-on-the-lookout alert for a gray 2003 Toyota Tacoma reported stolen earlier that day.
According to Keene police, officers responded around 9:45 p.m. after the vehicle was spotted near Walmart. Police said Wilkinson ran to the truck and refused repeated commands to get out. Officers eventually broke a window to open the door and take her into custody.
Wilkinson was held at the Cheshire County jail following her arrest. Court records indicate she also admitted to violations of probation related to earlier cases. Prosecutors and the defense waived sentence review as part of the plea agreement.
