MONADNOCK REGION, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Motorists traveling through parts of Sullivan, Stoddard, Troy, and Swanzey should prepare for daytime traffic changes as a state roadwork project gets back underway later this month.
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announced that resurfacing operations on Route 9 and Route 12 are scheduled to resume Monday, April 13. Work will span Route 9 from Centre Street in Sullivan to the Granite Lake Road/South Street area in Stoddard, and Route 12 from Old Whitcomb Road in Troy to Flat Roof Mill Road in Swanzey.
Construction crews will be active daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting. Drivers can expect shifting lanes throughout the project area, with traffic patterns changing regularly during active work hours.
In addition to repaving, the project includes removing and replacing guardrails along the affected stretches. That portion of the work is expected to continue for roughly two months.
Flaggers and, when available, uniformed officers will be on site to help manage traffic flow. Officials are urging drivers to slow down, stay alert, and comply with posted signage and electronic message boards while traveling through construction zones. Motorists are also reminded to follow the state’s Move Over Law when approaching roadside work crews.
The $9.3 million federally funded project is being carried out by All States Construction, Inc. and is scheduled for completion in September 2026.
Drivers can sign up for real-time traffic alerts and construction updates through New England 511.
